As part of this national vision, the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) is developing the Kochi-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (KBIC) to connect the central and southern regions of India.
This corridor is an extension of the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC), stretching to Kochi via Coimbatore. The KBIC aims to catalyze regional industrial agglomeration and fast-track economic development across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh.
